Before You Begin

Make sure you have a Google account and are signed in. You'll need permissions to create and edit Google Sheets and use Google Apps Script.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Step	Detailed Instructions
1	Open the Web App Link Click on the web app link that was provided to you. This will open either a Google Sheet or a landing page with setup options.
2	Make a Copy of the Google Sheet If you see a Google Sheet in view-only mode: Click on the File menu in the top-left corner Select Make a copy from the dropdown menu Name your copy and choose where to save it in your Google Drive Click OK to create your copy
3	Alternative Setup Option If instead you see a landing page with options: Click the Make a Copy button to create your own copy of the sheet You may also see an "AppScript File" option - this is for advanced users
4	Initial Setup Once you have your own copy of the sheet: Follow any on-screen instructions that appear Review the different tabs/sheets to understand the structure Don't modify any formulas or scripts unless you know what you're doing
5	Open the Apps Script Editor In your Google Sheet: Click on the Extensions menu at the top of the screen Select Apps Script from the dropdown menu This will open the Apps Script editor in a new browser tab
6	Review the Code (Optional) Take a moment to review the code if you're familiar with JavaScript. Otherwise, you can proceed without changes.
7	Deploy as Web App In the Apps Script editor: Click on the blue Deploy button in the top-right corner Select New deployment from the dropdown menu
8	Configure Deployment Settings Click on the Select type button (gear icon) and choose Web app Enter a description for your deployment (optional but recommended) Under "Execute as," select Me (this means the app will run with your permissions) Under "Who has access," select Anyone if you want to share it publicly, or choose another option based on your needs
9	Complete Deployment Click the Deploy button Google will ask for authorization - click through the prompts to grant the necessary permissions You may need to click "Advanced" and then "Go to [Project Name] (unsafe)" to proceed Finally, click "Allow" to grant permissions
10	Get Your Web App URL After deployment completes, a popup will appear with your Web App URL Copy this URL - this is the address where your app is now accessible Click "OK" to close the popup
11	Test Your Web App Open a new browser tab and paste the URL you copied Your web app should now load and be ready to use If you encounter any issues, check the permissions and deployment settings
12	Share Your Web App (Optional) You can share the web app URL with others according to the access permissions you set Remember that if you chose "Execute as Me," the app will use your Google account's permissions
